DownloadOn Sunday, the 14th of April, the Commission for intercultural living-together organised its traditional Sunday Brunch. Many interested residents found their way to the Centre des loisirs ''Loisi'', to have a good time and make new contacts over a generous brunch with dishes brought by the participants themselves.In this context, 4 groups were also presented with their prizes for taking part in the Nopeschfest competition. © Pictures: Ian Sanderson & Jan Inghelram
At the suggestion of the Social Commission, the Board of Aldermen and the Commune Council invited pensioners and their partners to the Seniors Gathering on board of the M.S. ‘Princesse Marie-Astrid’ on Wednesday, the 24th of April. We look back on a great day with good music and a great atmosphere!
On 23 November 2024, 12 fruit trees were planted for the 24 children born in 2023. The plum and mirabelle trees are old, regional varieties that are perfectly adapted to the local conditions. The trees were planted on a potentially very valuable plot of land very close to the nature reserve ''Aarnescht''. Afterwards, the participants were able to fortify themselves at the barbecue and enjoy a slice or two of cake or tart. The local forester and his team were responsible for the catering. They were also the ones who made a cutting board for each child from local wood with their name engraved on it. The children were able to take these boards home with them as a memento of this wonderful day. The event was organised jointly by the Commune's nature team, SIAS and ANF.
Last Thursday, the cycle 4.1 class from the school "Am Sand" did a really good job. As part of the Week of the Tree, various fruit trees were planted in the school grounds together with the SIAS.
Last Monday, the advisory commissions, the ResidentTeams and the committees were introduced at the Centre polyvalent "A Schommesch". The members and secretaries were invited to get to know each other during a presentation and a reception Here's to a great time and many wonderful projects for and with the residents of the commune of Niederanven
