As part of the public information meeting on the "Am Pull" project, held on 7 October 2026, the main elements of the future neighbourhood were presented. Residents had the opportunity to learn more about the current status of the project, ask questions and exchange ideas. The presentation covers, among other topics, the urban planning concept, affordable housing, mobility, green spaces, the energy concept, as well as the next stages of the project.

As part of the construction of the new multifunctional centre and the future rescue and fire station in Munsbach, a new access road will be built. The new road will be approximately 224 metres long and 6.5 metres wide. A new pedestrian walkway will also be created alongside the building.

At the same time, the existing « Rue Jacques Lamort » will be widened to 6.5 metres to ensure the safe crossing of larger vehicles, particularly emergency vehicles. A new footpath will also be built between the new access road and the « Jacques Lamort » bus stop, thereby improving pedestrian safety. In addition to the roadworks, the underground infrastructure will be upgraded. The project includes new stormwater and wastewater sewers, a new drinking water main, and adaptations to utility networks. Modern LED street lighting will also be installed.

The project aims to provide efficient and safe access to the future rescue and fire station while sustainably improving infrastructure and mobility in this area.

As part of the ongoing development of the schoolyard infrastructure, the construction of a canopy has been further specified. The project, which had already been planned by the commune, was further developed in collaboration with Niedz4Kidz and a Cycle 4.1 class. The students were actively involved in the remaining decisions. Among other things, they conducted surveys in other classes and presented their ideas to the communal council.

The concrete plan has now been finalised: the canopy from the preschool, whose building has since been demolished, will be reinstalled in the schoolyard and thus given a second use. This represents a practical and resource-efficient solution.

The implementation is planned for the summer holidays so that the students concerned can still benefit from it in the next school year.

Modernisation of the electrical infrastructure at Am Sand, Phase 1

Our Commune has expressed its agreement in principle to host a temporary accommodation facility for applicants for international protection (’’demandeurs de protection inter-nationale’’, DPI), with a maximum capacity of 58 beds. This project not only reflects the Commune of Niederanven’s commitment to showing solidarity with people seeking protection and to offering them dignified and humane reception conditions, but also aims to contribute to a fairer distribution of DPI facilities throughout the country, in a spirit of solidarity with other communes that already host such facilities within their territory.

As part of this project, an information session took place on 17 March 2026 in the presence of Mr Max Hahn, Minister for Family Affairs, Solidarity,Living Together and Reception of Refugees. You can find more information about the project below.

At the commune council meeting of 3 December 2025, the project for the construction of a pedestrian walkway in An der Rëtsch, Rameldange, was approved. Thanks to this development, pedestrians will be able to move more safely between rue Principale and Beiebierg in the future.

During the Commune council meeting on 26 June 2025, the project to install a rainwater drainage system in the vicinity of the Town hall was approved.

The project entails the installation of a new reinforced concrete pipeline, 310 metres in length, running from Rue d’Ernster to the retention basin “PAP Schommeschwues”, up to the overflow at the “Bouneschbaach” stream, which is located behind the municipal administration building.

This new system will allow the drainage of rainwater from Rue d’Ernster and from various recently completed projects in the area (PAP Cité Wakelter, PAP Um Wakelter, PAP Op Pelgert), as well as rainwater from PAP Schommeschwues.

Adaptation works to the overflow are also planned in order to connect this new pipeline. A concrete structure is also planned to cross the existing combined sewer located at the rear of PAP Schommeschwues.

The project also provides for the restoration of infrastructure situated between the rear of PAP Schommeschwues and the overflow.

The works will start in parallel with the progress of the PAP NQ Schommeschwues project. Work is scheduled to commence at the end of 2025.

At its meeting on September 26, 2025, the communal council of the commune of Niederanven voted in favor of the renovation project for the cultural center “Loisi”, designed to meet the growing needs of the population in terms of culture, sports, and community life.

At its meeting on 27 June 2025, the Commune Council voted unanimously in favour of a project to build a new childcare centre in Senningerberg. The future ‘Bëschcrèche’, located on the edge of the forest near the scout hut, will be able to accommodate around 60 children. The project also includes the construction of dormitories that can accommodate up to 30 scouts. Work is scheduled to begin in 2026. The completion of the construction and the opening of the crèche are planned for 2029.

During the sitting of the Commune council on 25 October 2024, the project of an eventual energy park in Niederanven was discussed.

During the sitting of the Commune council on 21 March 2025, the project to create a bed&bike facility in the water tower at Senningerberg was approved. The aim of the project is to renovate and convert the former Binnewee water tower at Senningerberg into a bed&bike tourist accommodation facility.

During the sitting of the Commune council on 21 March 2025, the preparatory works project for the extension and renovation of the cycle 1 of the school ''Am Sand'' was approved.

The renovation and extension project of the school “Am Sand” and Maison Relais aims to adapt the educational infrastructure to the current and future needs of the Commune of Niederanven. While preserving the architectural identity of the existing building, particularly its brick façade, the project includes the renovation of the current facilities as well as the construction of a new modern school building connected to the existing structures. This new building will accommodate all Cycle 1 and early childhood education pupils and will be organised around a protected inner courtyard serving as a new playground for the youngest children. The project also includes the extension of the existing building with new classrooms, technical and storage facilities, the creation of a school restaurant, administrative offices and staff areas, as well as activity rooms for the Maison Relais.

The entire project follows a sustainable development approach. The new constructions and renovated sections are designed to achieve DGNB Gold certification through high environmental, energy and functional performance standards. The roofs will be greened and equipped with photovoltaic panels with an estimated capacity of 450 kWp. High-efficiency ventilation systems with heat recovery will also be installed. The construction concept combines reinforced concrete and prefabricated timber elements to promote energy efficiency and the use of sustainable materials.

Construction works started in July 2025 with preparatory measures including utility diversions, site safety works and the partial demolition of existing structures. The new school complex is scheduled to become operational by Easter 2029.

A new water reservoir is being built in Senningerberg to guarantee the supply of water to the airport and the new projects in the surrounding area. The reservoir has a volume of 2400m3 and will have a green roof to blend in with the landscape and be more sustainable. Construction of the tank has already begun and is expected to take 2 years.

At the sitting of the commune council meeting on the 29th of March 2024, the project to redesign the Rue des Romains and build a cycle path was approved. For this project, a cycle path will be built over a length of 475 metres and the roads and pavements between the intersections of Rue des Romains / Rue des Sapins and Rue des Romains / Rue des Pins will be adapted for a speed limit of 30 km/h. In addition, the bus stop in Rue des Romains will be made compliant and the ‘'trottoir traversant'' at the entrance to Rue des Pins will be adapted.

Here are a few current projects that are helping to make our town safer and traffic calmer:

• Reconstruction of the Rue du Château in Senningen - 30km/h zone introduced
• Pedestrian crossings in rue de Munsbach in Niederanven
• Redevelopment of the bus stop "Schetzel" in Oberanven
• Creation of a pavement in the Rue Pincipale in Hostert

With regard to the redevelopment of the ''Duerfplaz'' in Ernster, ideas for a new village centre in Ernster were collected together with the citizens during two workshops on the 18th of May 2022 and the 19th of October 2022. The results of these workshops were presented to the citizens on the 8th of March 2023 during an information evening. 

At its meeting on September 26, 2025, the communal council of the commune of Niederanven gave the green light to the redevelopment project of the village center in Ernster, combined with the implementation of a 30 km/h speed limit on the Rue Principale (CR132) in the center and the securing of the village entrances.

At the meeting of the town council on the 24th of February 2023, the project for the renovation and extension of the Stade Jos Becker was voted. The project includes a conversion of the existing building and an extension to make better use of the premises in the future and to provide more space. The extension of the stadium will mainly involve the renovation and expansion of the players' cabins and the tribune.

From a technical point of view, the building will be modernised to meet current standards. The gas heating system will be replaced by an aerothermal heat pump, which will be positioned in the southern part of the pitch. A modernised ventilation system will be installed in a technical room above the press cabin. A new rainwater tank will be used for watering. A photovoltaic system is planned on the roofs.

A new and important project voted in the municipal council on the 24th of February 2023. We are talking about a medical centre next to the old police building in Oberanven. A number of doctors, both general practitioners and specialists, are expected to be able to set up practice here in the Rue Andethana from the end of 2027 onwards.

During the municipal council of the 1st of April 2022, the project ''Haff Peter'' at Rue Laach was voted. In addition to the realisation of flats for senior citizens and affordable housing, a literary café is to be built here in the future, as well as a community centre at the entrance to the new neighbourhood, where artists, start-ups and local associations (Club50Plus & Club Senior) can be accommodated.
