Since 1 May 2025, the Citybus Nidderaanwen has been running through our Commune - a new step towards sustainable and resident-friendly mobility. The citybus offers all residents and visitors a free, practical, and regular transportation option.

The benefits of the Citybus at a glance: 

• Two lines (Citybus 1 & Citybus 2)
• Several strategic stops, including: Luxembourg Airport/Findel, P+R Heienhaff, Charly’s Statioun, Am Sand, Duerfplaz, Beim Bësch, and more
• Direct connection to P+R Heienhaff, which is also the closest tram stop – perfect for continuing your journey by tram
• Daily service from 6 AM to midnight
• Excellent connections to the tram network and regional bus lines

To improve public transport services throughout the different localities of the Commune and make travel even more convenient for residents, several changes to the timetable and route of the ''Citybus Nidderaanwen'' came into effect on 13 September 2026.

Optimised timetable
The Citybus timetables have been revised in order to:

• reduce waiting times for the Citybus at certain bus stops
  
• improve coordination with the schedules of the RGTR route 321

Departures from the airport will now be organized as follows:
Citybus 1: departure at 5.55 a.m., 6.55 a.m., 7.55 a.m. and so on;
Citybus 2: departure at 6.10 a.m., 7.10 a.m., 8.10 a.m. and so on.

New route and new bus stops
The Citybus route will also be adapted to serve the town of Ernster and to provide a more accessible service for residents of Hostert and Rameldange.

Three new bus stops:
Beiebierg, Engelshaff & Duerfplaz

In Rameldange and Hostert, the Citybus will now travel along the main road (Rue Principale) to enhance service in these localities.

• Three new bus stops will be introduced in Rameldange: Op Mooschelt, Rue Basse and Rue du Scheid
• One new bus stop will be introduced in Hostert: Hueschtert Kierch

As part of this reorganisation, the bus stops Op der Bunn and Beim Bësch in Rameldange will no longer be served by the Citybus.

Please note: Due to these timetable and route changes, the fastest connections to the airport and the P&R Heienhaff may vary depending on your place of residence. For some journeys, it may be more convenient to use Citybus 2 instead of Citybus 1. We therefore encourage passengers to consult the new timetables before travelling and, if necessary, adapt to their usual travel habits.
