Gymnastics course for seniors

The Commune of Niederanven is pleased to offer a gymnastics course for people over 65 years of age, Tuesdays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. in the sports complex "Am Sand" in Niederanven.
The next course 2024/2025 starts on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

CIPA Gréngewald

Just a stone's throw from the nature reserve ''Aarnescht'' and its protected orchid area, the Centre Intégré pour Personnes Agées Gréngewald opens its doors to people aged over 65. Club Aktiv Plus ‘Club Syrdall’
Since 2005, the senior citizens' club/Club Aktiv Plus, also known as ‘Club Syrdall’, has made it its main task to organize leisure activities for the 60+ generation four times a year: culture, sport, information, lifelong learning, socializing, sightseeing and much more.
Anyone who is interested is welcome. A membership card is not required!

Residential and nursing home ‘Beim Goldknapp’ in Erpeldange-sur-Sûre (ALA)
The Commune of Niederanven has a priority right of admission to the residential and care home ‘Beim Goldknapp’ in Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, which specialises in the care and support of people suffering from dementia. The residential and care home ‘Beim Goldknapp’ is run by the Association Luxembourg Alzheimer, which offers an infrastructure that is specifically adapted to the needs of people with dementia.
For example:
- an environment entirely adapted to dependent people and designed to stimulate their sense of orientation
- integral and flexible care, based on proven concepts of therapy and support for people with dementia.
- an individualised care concept for each patient
- individualised support and therapies, supervised by the relevant professionals (occupational therapists, educators, psychologists and physiotherapists)
- therapeutic groups and specialised group activities
- integration into local and regional life
- close collaboration with family and friends
- concerted organisation of daily activities in the various living units
- 13 living units, each with a living area serving as the hub of daily life (lounge, kitchen, dining area, terrace, adapted bathroom with bathtub), and individual bedrooms with a bathroom adapted for disabled people) offering residents a private space
- an oasis of care for 9 people
Admission procedure
If you wish to avail yourself of our commune's right of priority admission, you can contact the social and coordination department of the residential and care centre, which will provide you with an admission application form. You can then take this form to the local authority, where it will be stamped and signed by the relevant department. Don't forget to also ask for a certificate of residence, which confirms that you or the person concerned lives in our commune.
A recent medical certificate should also be sent to the Social and Coordination Department.
