National Day 2026

UPDATE NATIONAL DAY:
Due to high temperatures, the National Day programme has been slightly adapted: the procession is replaced by shuttle buses, the mayor’s speech will take place at the Centre polyvalent “A Schommesch”, and the celebrations will end at 4 PM. We kindly ask you to adapt your clothing to the weather conditions and to take care of yourself by staying in the shade, protecting yourself from the sun and drinking enough water.
The Board of Aldermen has the honor of inviting you to the celebration of the National Day, on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, starting at 10:00 AM.
Please find attached the program of festivities.
- 10:00 AM: Te Deum in the church of Senningen
- 11:00 AM: Bus transfer to the laying of flowers at the "Monument aux morts" in Oberanven and "Sonnerie aux morts"
- 11:15 AM: Bus transfert to the Commune building in Oberanven
- 11:45 AM: Gathering of participants at the Centre polyvalent “A Schommesch”
- Speech by Mayor Fréd Ternes
- National Anthem & European Anthem
- 12:15 PM: Meal and drinks provided by the Municipality
- 12:30 - 2 PM: Concert and drinks by the "Moselle Valley Brass Band"
- 4 PM: End of festivities
Fun & games for children – entertainment all day long: face painting for children, mascot meet & greet, Minions & My Little Pony entertainment programme, bubble show, bouncy castle,...
The Commune administration would welcome a large turnout for the festivities.
