Polling stations

In order to comply with the electoral law of February 18, 2003, as amended and following a communication from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the polling stations will be reorganised for the communal elections to be held on June 11, 2023. The law stipulates that in each polling station the number of registered voters must be between 300 and 600 and that a district may not assigned to more than one polling station. For these reasons, and considering the increasing number of voters opting for postal voting, the local council has decided that the polling stations will be centralised in the localities of Oberanven and Niederanven to facilitate the organisation of the elections. The voters of Niederanven, Senningen and Senningerberg will vote in Niederanven and those of Ernster, Hostert, Oberanven, Rameldange and Waldhof in Oberanven. The municipal administration will provide a shuttle bus to bring you to your designated polling station.

Postal voting

Are you unable to go to your polling station in person on June 11, 2023? Then you can opt for postal voting! A request can be submitted either electronically via myguichet.lu, or on a form that can be obtained from the municipal administration between March 20, 2023 and May 2, 2023 (for sending abroad) or May 17, 2023 (for sending within Luxembourg). In addition, it has been decided that the municipal administration will pay the cost of returning the postal vote!

The day of the elections

At least five days before election day, you will be sent a convocation letter containing the required information on your polling station and its opening hours, a sample ballot paper and the instructions. On election day, you must present yourself at the polling station indicated on your convocation between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., with your identity card and the convocation letter.
