We play petanque in the "Parc des Loisirs" in Niederanven. Everyone from the age of six can come and play with us (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult).

We do not play competitively and we are not professional players. We attach great importance to conviviality.

We meet once a week to play volleyball for about 2.5 hours, every Wednesday evening. We are a mixed team from early twenties to late sixties.

No license is required. We have some "ex-players" in our team, but again this is not a requirement. Good responsiveness, good ball control, as well as previous knowledge and experience with volleyball are prerequisites.

Fun of playing volleyball in a multicultural environment (our members have +/- 7 different nations) and an excellent team spirit.

FC US Hostert is a football club that has existed in the municipality of Niederanven since 1946. The club has several youth classes. The youngest are the Bambinis, i.e. children under 7 years old.

A love of sport and especially team sport is a prerequisite, as is motivation and the will to give everything for oneself and one's teammates.

The slogan "FC US Hostert, more than a football club" reflects the guiding principle of our club. We are a club located in a unique environment near the Gréngewald, with a long tradition and a high value placed on youth sports. The love of sport and human relations are at the heart of everything we do.

We are a dance school that mainly offers courses for children aged 3 to 15 years. Our offer includes ballet, jazz and hip-hop lessons. In addition, we offer an adult jazz course.

Don't need any prerequisites, you just have to have the desire and joy in dancing. However, the group spirit must not be missing.

​It is important to us that our little (and tall) members feel comfortable and enjoy what they do. However, we also value good behavior, so that we can have a good understanding in our dance groups. In addition, it is of course important to us to offer our little dancers high-quality courses.

With us, you pay per course and per year. An individual course costs e.g. 270€ per year, with the possibility of being partially reimbursed if you stop during the year (90€ per quarter).

Our club is a climbing club. On the climbing wall in Niederanven, adults, teenagers and children can learn to climb and improve their skills. The KKN also offers outdoor activities, such as rock climbing (e.g. Berdorf) or a trip to the Alps for alpine climbing. Children from the age of 7 can join the club.

•  What are the conditions (or physical requirements) to be met?

​​As said, you have to be min. 7 years old to enroll in a children’s course. In addition, you should be in good health and have the necessary seriousness and respect for the sport. Indoor climbing is not a classic “risky sport”, but it is still a “risky sport”. That is why it is important that you be disciplined when climbing, listen to, follow the instructions of the trainers, and take your safety measures seriously. If you stick all these things, nothing can happen. Even 7-year-old children know how to secure other children when they are climbing.

•  What characterises your association? What is particularly importantant to you?

KKN is characterized by a very familiar environment. We try to offer our members an optimal range of activities and training. In addition, by constantly changing the routes on our wall, we try to make training interesting. The KKN is also, like the other clubs in the municipality, a contact station for people of various nationalities. Diversity and members are another value of our club.

A membership card costs 100€ for one season. The adult climbers, who already have some experience, participate in the "Free Climb" almost every day. Children pay 100€ for one children's training session per week (usually 1-1.5 hours). Everyone who climbs the wall with us must have a membership card.

Shooting with weapons (on targets). Recreational shooting and competition shooting are practiced and can be done from:
- 11 years ⁽¹⁾ for air guns,
- 16 years ⁽¹⁾ for small arms (shoulder arms only),
- 18 years ⁽²⁾ for all weapons authorised by law.

(1) During their presence at the shooting range, minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or an experiences member of the club.
(2) An internship of 12 month with small-caliber weapons is mandatory before being able to move on to larger calibers.

•  What are the conditions (or physical requirements) to be met?

The safety rules applied in the shooting range facilities is of course compulsory in the practice of shooting sports. A respectful and responsible behaviour is required from all members. When applying for a permit to carry sporting weapons, a medical certificate is required by the relevant authorities.

•  What characterises your association? What is particularly importantant to you?

The members of our club enjoy modern and well-maintained facilities. The social aspect is not neglected and a welcoming clubhouse allows members to meet and exchange experiences or to benefit from the advice of more experienced shooters. Particular importance will always be attached to the respect of safety rules, which has always been and will remain our first priority.

Currently the annual membership fee is 175€ (125€ for students, supporting certificate of studies) and upon admission a single entrance fee of 300€ is charged.
